Future Sole

the folks at Nike have decided to hold a sneaker design competition for High School Students (14-19 yo). I think there are 10 or so 1st prizes which is a lot for any competition and the prizes themselves are amazing. Not only could they win over 10g's worth of merch but they also win CONTINUAL MENTORING from Tinker Hatfield and other top Nike designers. that's like winning a songwriting contest and getting Stevie Wonder & Lalo Schifrin's advice for the rest of your career. Man I wish they had something like this back when I was in H.S. all I drew back then was Kicks, my own name and cartoon versions of myself.

as a continuation of the Yo! MTV Raps clydes fom last year, puma is releasing a sneaker/t-shirt/jacket series inspired by old shool legends, Doug E Fresh, MC Shan, ED Lover & Doctor Dre & Big Daddy Kane who has the illest looking pack out of the bunch. Shan's is pretty ill too.
